Brooklyn Arts Council invites dynamic, experienced, and creative teaching artists to apply to our Arts in Education Program for residencies. Artists of all disciplines are welcome. Whether you're an indie filmmaker, a classical clarinetist, or a hula dancer, we welcome your leadership.
Teaching and LEarning In the Arts
Devised by the New York City Department of Education, Blueprints for Teaching and Learning in the Arts provides a standards-based, rigorous approach to teaching the arts for Pre-K through 12th grade.
Professional Development
BAC provides a variety of professional development activities for teaching artists throughout the year. Our seminars, workshops, and networking events are free or low-cost and open to all.
Networking
Being able to share space with other creatives is an essential part of living and working in our borough. Brooklyn Arts Council's Arts in Education program prioritizes networking and professional development opportunities for teaching artists.

Brooklyn Arts Council employs over 200 teaching artists and performers, reaching approximately 25,000 people in 50+ schools, after-school programs, and community centers around New York City annually.
